The warm mist humidifier (also called hot steam humidifier) works with two electrodes plunged into the water; its vapor is sweet and spreads extremely well throughout the room. You do not need to put filtered water inside these humidifier, as the boiling process kills any molds, bacteria. Impurities will also stay at the bottom of the tank and sediments will be fixed on the resistances (therefore it is necessary to clean it regularly, this operation doesn't take more than 2 minutes).
The hot steam humidifier brings real softness to the air, be careful however if you have small children, you need to put the humidifier out of their reach.
